Plot

Apex City is ready to welcome it's 1,000,000th citizen and Captain Laserbeam is on the scene to deliver Mrs. Abelman's baby. There's a scare when the umbilical cord is found wrapped around baby Abelman's neck, but Captain Laserbeam is able to save the day. Thanks, teeny laser!

The Bluebird of Misery and The Purple Puritan team up to wreak havoc in Apex City. Captain Laserbeam goes to the Purple Puritan's lair (the Crucibuilding) and encounters the death trap known as the Pernicious Puppet: a life sized doll that has pins sticking out of it.
